Day 122

Smoke from wildfires near Ashland at sunset.

Day 122: August 2nd
Mile 1726.8 to Mile 1740.4

Lon got a late start hiking as is typical of most town days. Smoke from the area wildfires was not too bad this morning but increased as the day went on. None of the fires are near the section of the Pacific Crest Trail he is hiking today, although a fire is burning near the trail about 40 miles to the north.

Mileage: 13.6

Having hiking so far and for so long now, are you finding that you are usually hiking (leap frogging) with pretty much the same group of hikers as you proceed along the trail? Good luck to you; your photos are beautiful!
